What Past Participants Say About the
TheatreWings Program

"I want to thank you all for the TheatreWings training I got because without it I would not have had the opportunities I had when I got to college. Here I was given the job of stage-managing the spring musical, “The Mystery of Edwin Drood”, which is a huge deal. They normally only let juniors and seniors do it, but they asked me, a freshman, because of my past training. It was also the largest production our school has ever done, and I got to work with a guest director who is also working on a Broadway musical right now. So needless to say, this experience rocked and I owe it all to you guys."

"Second I want to thank you for teaching me how to be a good stage manager, and how to prepare for the worst. On Friday night’s performance I was experiencing horrible stomach pains to the point where I couldn’t even concentrate. It turns out that I had to have my appendix removed, I was in the hospital for three days and out of school for a week. But the amazing part was that the Tech Director, who had never seen the show, was able to call the show and fill my role as Stage Manager. I was laying in bed on Saturday morning when one of my theatre teachers came in to check on me at the hospital and he told me that the only reason they were able to keep the show going was due to my, “immaculately kept prompt script." So anyway, I just wanted to say thank you. I know how crazy things get there (Oh yes, how can I forget) but I also know now the results. And they rock! Thank you all so much for everything you taught me. From being able to sew a button back on (you’d be surprised how often that has come in handy when nobody else could do it), to being able to saw lumber without them showing me how to use all the equipment. It really makes a difference, and I would never give up everything I have learned from you guys! Thanks again."
