Charleston Stage's TheatreWings High School Apprentice Program, now in its 25th year, is a FREE intense, hands-on, pre-professional theatre-training program for students in grades 9-12. Students work side by side with Charleston Stage performing and technical theatre professionals learning acting, set design and construction, props, costumes, stage management, lighting, sound and special effects skills. Participants spend between 3-20 hours each week working in Charleston Stage's scenic and costume shops, as well as backstage during rehearsals and performances of Charleston Stage productions at the College of Charleston's Sottile theatre, Memminger Auditorium and the Historic Dock Street Theatre.

How To Apply:

  1. Read the guidelines carefully and be sure your parents read them. The TheatreWings program is an intense program that requires a great deal of time and commitment.
