Marybeth Clark
Associate Artistic Director
and director of education

Marybeth is in her 11th season with Charleston Stage. She has a degree in theatre/performance from the University of South Florida. She has worked as an actor in professional theatres throughout the Southeast before settling in Charleston in 1994. Before joining Charleston Stage, she was a theatre instructor at the Charleston County School of the Arts for middle and high school students. She currently oversees all Charleston Stage education programs, including the Professional Resident Acting Company, after school classes and outreach workshops.

amanda wansa
Director of music education

Amanda Wansa joins Charleston Stage after recently graduating from the University of Central Florida with her MFA in Acting. She holds undergraduate degrees in Theatre and Music from Florida State University. Music Direction credits include Urinetown, The Most Happy Fella, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and countless cabarets and showcases. In 2009, Amanda composed music for the Orlando Shakespeare Theater’s production of The Velveteen Rabbit, and arranged original music for UCF’s award-winning production of The Piano Lesson. Amanda has taught everything from Shakespearean sonnets with 7-year-olds to Sondheim songs with professional Equity actors and is thrilled to be joining the Charleston Stage team!

lindsey lamb
Education Associate

Lindsey is thrilled to be back in the Lowcountry after moving this fall from NYC. She was a Resident Actor with Charleston Stage in 2003-04 and Charleston Stage credits included Big River, Oliver!, Beau Jest, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown. Lindsey has a BFA in Theatre from Valdosta State University. Lindsey is the Resident Choreographer for Charleston Stage's 2009-10 Season and will also be assistant teaching in all Theatre School classes. This season with Charleston Stage, Lindsey will also be playing the following roles: Mrs. Van Tassel/The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Christmas Present/A Christmas Carol, A Ghost Story of Christmas, Viola/Twelfth Night, and Ensemble/Evita.

Classes are taught by Charleston Stage's Professsional Resident Acting Company. These young theatre professionals move to Charleston for 10 months after completing college theatre programs all over the country. In addition to teaching, they can be seen on stage throughout the season.
