Season Auditions for Charleston Stage's 2010-11 Season will be held May 2, 2010. We will be begin scheduling appointments on April 2, 2010. Email Marybeth Clark, Associate Artistic Director at mclark@charlestonstage.com for an appointment time or if you have any further questions.
Below we’ve outlined some FAQ about casting.
FOR ADVANCED STUDENTS (GRADES 4-12)

AUDITION
Monday, April 26, 2010 at 6pm
Charleston Stage Studio
629 Johnny Dodds Blvd
Mount Pleasant, SC
Interested students should be in 4-8th grade (2010-2011).
Class meets Mondays 4-6pm Sept-April.
Must prepare 2 monologues (approx 1 minute each).
Will also be taught a short song and dance.

For our Resident Acting Intern Program, we hire actors from UPTA (Unified Professional Theatre Auditions) which is held in February of every year. http://www.upta.org/

SALARY:
$200 weekly July 2010 - May 2011
$500 completion of contract bonus

Charleston Stage Company is South Carolina’s largest professional (NON-EQUITY) theatre. Our Resident Acting Intern Program is an intensive 10 month program that allows its participants to combine multiple performance opportunities with a well structured and practical teacher training program.
Additional duties include teaching weekly classes for students in our Theatre School, box office, costume laundry, strike, and load-in.

•Undergraduate degree in theatre or related performance area
•Vocal and dance ability
•Teaching experience and respect and appreciation for children and the willingness to be guided in teaching them theatre
•Strong work ethic
